FATHER’S DAY
Hello and welcome back to my blog. Here in Australia and the South Pacific we celebrate Father’s Day on the first Sunday in September each year. This year I totally forgot to share the Father’s Day card I made using the now retired Home and Garden bundle consisting of the stamp set and garden dies to cut out these cute gardening tools.
For the card base and mat I used Basic White cardstock. Using the edge of my scissors I dragged them along the edge of the paper to give the torn/rip effect and to break up the white on white of the card. I selected the 200 blend to marked around the edges. All the other tools were coloured using the 500, 600, soft suede light and dark and basic black light on the shovel and hedge trimmers. To give a little contract in the colour on the those items I removed some of the colour using the colour lifter blend.
So that is the card for today, I hope you enjoyed it and that you had the chance to spend some time with your Dad or if not with your loved ones.
