HIPPEST HIPPOS
Today I am using the Hippest Hippos stamp set and Hippo dies. I don’t know about you but I love all the animal style stamp sets and dies and this one is so super cute. These gorgeous stamps and dies are free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order. To make this top folding card take an A4 sheet of Melon Mambo cardstock and using a paper trimmer cut lengthwise down the middle at 10.5 cm.
Now turn sideways and using the scoring blade (light grey) and score your paper at 14.85cm.
Repeat again with a piece of Basic White cardstock. This will give you two halves, one to use for another card and the other to make the mat to go on the melon mambo card front and the other for an insert to your card. You will have to cut down both the mat and insert to 10cm x 14.25cm, this gives you an approximate border of half a centimetre all around. Stamp the hippo in Memento ink and colour with light and dark smoky slate and petal pink. Colour the toenails in melon mambo and the leaf with granny apple green. Once coloured cut out using the appropriate die. Taking one of your basic white mats place on the scoreboard and score 3 lines at .5 cm, 1cm and 1.5 cm then attached the mat to the card base. Add dimensionals to the back of the coloured in hippo and adhere to the mat. Lastly, add the in colour jewels and card insert and its done.
