Kindest Gnomes
To tell you the truth I have never been a “gnome” fan. I’m not really sure why, they always looked a bit creepy to me, a bit like clowns lol. Then I remembered all those garden ornaments that I saw in my childhood that seemed to surround older peoples homes as if they are trying to create a themed garden. You know the ones, metal butterflies nailed to the house, and fairies placed strategically along with toad stools. Yes, I think that is where my dislike for them stems from!
When the Kindest Gnomes stamp set appeared in our new mini catalogue I seriously just skimmed over the page. It wasn’t until I looked at it a bit more that I could see it as a 3D project. See in a past life I did a lot of paper tole, and this stamp just reminded me of it. I have to say I eventually came to like these cute little gnomes and I thoroughly enjoyed making this card. I hope you like it too.

Firstly, I stamped the gnomes on spare piece of basic white cardstock. Then I took the card base and using our blending brushes coloured it to resemble the grass and sky. I fussy cut out the corresponding gnomes from Storybook Gnomes designer series paper. To give the 3D look I added further layers for dimension. To add some texture I covered the cloud in snowfall accents “puff” paint (so many memories from using this with my kids lol), and some matching bling. Maybe you might consider trying out these, dare I say “cute” gnomes yourself. For the inside I just coloured the corner of the card and added a little door, (entrance to the gnomes home).

I have made a supply list for you to see the products I have used and also linked these items to my store. These items can be bought singularly or you can buy them as a collection and save money, the choice is yours.
Sending Paper Hugs,
